Honorary Membership

Honorary Memberhip

Honorary Membership is awarded in recognition of the significant contribution to the development of the Association, the wider specialty of anaesthesia, the membership and the patients they serve.

This honour is awarded to eminent anaesthetists and individuals who have made an exceptional contribution to the Association over a number of years. It is normally awarded to past presidents at the end of their term.

Successful recipients will receive Honorary Membership of the Association for their lifetime and have free registration at Association meetings. Recipients will also receive the Honorary Membership certificate.


Eligibility: Can be awarded to Association members and non-members, non-anaesthetists and non-doctors.

Nomination: By recommendation from the president, board members, committee chairs or Association staff.
