We’re with you every step of the way
Being an anaesthetist is a rewarding and satisfying career. But it’s not without its challenges.
We empathise with the mental, physical and emotional demands that come with the job and understand that external factors, like working long hours and rota gaps, can take their toll on your health.
The wellbeing of all our members, and those that work within the anaesthesia community, is an integral part of our work here at the Association, and we offer a wide range of services and campaigns to support you throughout your career.
If you need to talk to someone right away, contact the BMA Counselling Service on 0330 123 1245. It’s open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
We campaign on behalf of trainees with anti-workplace-bullying campaigns like #Knockitout; which aims to create a positive workplace culture that is free from bullying, harassment and undermining behaviours.
