Workshop description
Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS)
We are very excited to be hosting two Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) sessions at this years Trainee Conference. This will be an opportunity for delegates to learn from world renowned POCUS experts and gain hands-on scanning experience. Areas covered will include bedside transthoracic echocardiography alongside lung, airway and abdominal ultrasound. Key learning objectives will be to:
- Enhance delegates understanding of the role POCUS can play in the peri-operative period and critical care.
- Enhance delegates understanding of the basic principals of ultrasound, knobology and image optimisation.
- Gain hands on experience in transthoracic echocardiography, airway ultrasound, lung ultrasound and abdominal ultrasound.
