Resident Doctors Conference 2026

Are you attending Resident Doctors Conference 2026? British Medical Association (BMA) advise doctors that they can still attend conferences during industrial action

The Association of Anaesthetists’ Resident Doctors Conference scheduled from 17 to 18 June 2026 will proceed as planned, despite the industrial action by Resident Doctors in England over those dates.

The British Medical Association (BMA) has issued guidance indicating that study leave to attend conferences falls within the scope of activities considered permissible during strike action. The BMA encourages Resident Doctors to continue with non-clinical activities, including educational conferences, especially those that have been pre-booked with study leave.

We remain committed to delivering a high-quality educational experience while respecting the rights of our colleagues to engage in industrial action.
