Recommendations from the National Commission into the Regulation of AI in Healthcare
We are pleased to see that the Government has accepted all 44 recommendations made by the National Commission into the Regulation of AI in Healthcare.
We agree with their response highlighting the importance of patient safety, strong regulatory oversight and enhanced post-market surveillance.
However, we reiterate our stance, that without effective investment in IT infrastructure, such as reliable equipment and Wi-Fi, the potential gains of AI may be unrealised.
