Celebrating SAS Week 2026
SAS doctors are an integral part of the anaesthetic workforce, bringing experience, expertise and commitment to the delivery of patient care every day.
This SAS Week, we want to celebrate their contribution and give SAS doctors a platform to share their experiences.
From 5–9 October, we’ll be sharing daily content across our social media channels, with contributions from members of our SAS Committee and our President-Elect, Dr Emma Wain.
Emma is also set to make history next year as the first SAS doctor to become President of the Association of Anaesthetists. As part of SAS Week, she’ll reflect on her career in anaesthesia and sharing tips for the future leaders of the SAS workforce.
We’ll be talking about careers, progression and the specialist grade, as well as celebrating the experiences and expertise of the people who make up the SAS workforce.
