About this webinar
This webinar will showcase the practical side of NIRS monitoring, how is it used in-conjunction with all the information available to the anaesthetist and what can we adapt.
Medicine is an ever evolving field with waves of new inventions constantly seeking to inundate areas of clinical care that have hitherto been unreachable. Near infra-red spectroscopy (NIRS) is one such exciting development that has expanded our capacity to evaluate areas of tissue perfusion and oxygen saturations that were not possible before. Using near infrared region of electromagnetic spectrum ( 780 nm to 2500nm), the spectroscopy can do a variety of functions to aide the clinician.
This Association of Anaesthetists webinar presented by experts in the field of NIRS seeks to inform and explore avenues of its application in anaesthesia and surgery.
