About this seminar

After the success in London and Truro in 2019, the SAFE Paediatrics course will be coming to Aberdeen, running over two days (Monday 30 and Tuesday 31 March 2020) at The Suttie Centre for Teaching & Learning in Healthcare.

Developed by specialist paediatric anaesthetists from the UK and US, The SAFE paediatrics course is suitable for occasional paediatric anaesthetists & anaesthetic trainees. Over the two days, you will learn about the basic concepts in paediatric anaesthesia, focusing on UK paediatric anaesthesia practice and common scenarios faced by anaesthetists in well-resourced environments.

Don't miss the opportunity to gain CPD local to you!

Lectures include:
• Overview: the child is not a miniature adult
• Safety in paediatric anaesthesia
• Recognition and management of the sick child
• Trauma and burns management in children

Hands-on workshops include:
• Basic principles
• Advanced airway
• Resuscitation
• Medical problems
• Trauma and burns
• Services for children in the NHS
