Mentoring courses
Mentoring training course
The Association of Anaesthetists has been providing mentoring training since 2014 and is now excited to work with a new highly experienced training provider, Rebecca Viney Associates. This marks an exciting chapter in our commitment to developing supportive, connected, and resilient professionals within anaesthesia. Whether you’re looking to give back, grow your leadership skills, or support your colleagues through the often-challenging NHS landscape, this programme is your opportunity to take the first step. The next Mentoring Training courses is taking place in February & March 2026. Find out more.
Mentoring supervision
For those who are already trained mentors, we are pleased to offer online group supervision sessions through Rebecca Viney Associates (RVA).
The group supervision approach allows mentors to critically reflect on practice, explore what worked well and what did not, and gain insight into your strengths and potential blind spots, while harnessing the resourcefulness within the group to support you. The format is characterised by active listening and thoughtful questioning.
A critical element of online group supervision is to create a safe, confidential, and supportive environment that concentrates on participants’ learning.
Participants will be invited to share topics, challenges and stories about their experiences with the group and explore them with the help of the facilitator and group members.
The next supervision session is taking place on Tuesday 18 November.
These sessions are free of charge to trained mentors and members of the Association.
