Trainee Conference 2024 update

Are you attending Trainee Conference 2024? British Medical Association (BMA) advise doctors that they can still attend conferences during industrial action.
The Association of Anaesthetists’ Trainee Conference, scheduled from 27 to 28 June 2024 will proceed as planned, despite the planned industrial action by junior doctors in England over those dates.
The British Medical Association (BMA) has issued guidance indicating that attending conferences falls within the scope of activities considered permissible during strike action.
The BMA encourages junior doctors to continue with non-clinical activities, including educational conferences, especially those that have been pre-booked with study leave.
We remain committed to delivering a high-quality educational experience while respecting the rights of our colleagues to engage in industrial action.
