Needlestick working party report

Summary

The Needlestick Working Party was formed to consider the testing of patients for Blood Borne Viruses (BBV) after needlestick and other occupational injuries. The report includes a set of recommendations plus:

  • Analysis of benefits and harms of blanket testing
  • Analysis of presumed consent
  • Analysis of non-consensual testing
  • Analysis of status quo
