Visit Learn@ - a hugely valuable CPD resource just for members
Watch and reflect on more than 1000 videos of talks from our events

This is a reminder to access Learn@,
one of our exclusive member
benefits. Learn@ is a learning management system packed with
educational resources just for
Association members. Learn@ has
also recently been upgraded to a
powerful new platform, making this
an even bigger benefit. The first
thing you see when you log in is a
video user guide that gives a quick
overview of how the system works.
Content
The Association makes videos of the best talks from its
three major annual conferences (Winter Scientific Meeting
in January, Trainee Conference in July, and Annual
Congress in September) available online on Learn@. There are
currently more than 1000 videos waiting for you, with more
being added regularly!
Access
Access to this is available as a member benefit at no extra cost,
and we believe that you will benefit enormously from being
able to catch up with the latest information on anaesthesia,
supplied in high quality lectures by leading national and
international speakers.
Search
All content is fully searchable by event, speaker, subject, and
meaningful keywords. The videos are arranged by date of
uploading, but can be sorted by status (whether or not you
have watched them) and alphabetically by title. They can also
be filtered by category (e.g. airway management or critical
care), making it very straightforward to find important videos
that you seek.
Reflection
The system allows you to reflect on the lectures; it keeps
a record of reflective notes and issues certificates that can
be exported and used in your appraisals and revalidation
meetings. You can also use the reflective forms for any
Association event that you attend or activity that you carry
out, be it attending local meetings, private study, on the job
training, or reading journal articles.
Export CPD records
You can export all of your reflective notes in one PDF for
appraisal or revalidation meetings, simplifying preparation.
Recommendations from members
We have had excellent feedback from your fellow members,
many of whom regularly make use of the site:
“Powerful and enjoyable learning in a more
conducive, comfortable environment than a
conference hall.”
“Very good way of learning especially for people who
cannot attend all the conferences.”
“It is easy enough to use. I love the immediate
downloading of the certificate."
“Excellent as opportunity to attend conferences etc. is
limited.”
“It is such a convenient way to keep up to date. I am
enjoying all the presentations from recent events which I could not attend.”
“I have nothing but appreciation for this excellent site.
It makes my life so easy as I am able to attend these
fantastic lectures and get updated from the comfort
of my easy chair. Keep doing the good work. I am
so glad of the help provided by the Association to
enhance quality of patient care.”
“Exceedingly useful! I am currently and for the next
12 months on unpaid leave from my department so
as to care for my ailing wife at home. Access to this
educational activity allows me the freedom to both
keep updated and still be able to care for her. Very
much appreciated!”
Reasons for you to access Learn@
- Accessibility: members who are unable to attend physical
events can access educational videos from anywhere with an
internet connection. This can help to ensure that members
are not excluded from important learning opportunities
because of geographical, logistical or other barriers.
- Convenience: educational videos can be watched at any
time, allowing members to fit learning into their busy
schedules. This can be particularly useful for members who
have commitments such as family responsibilities.
- Flexibility: educational videos can be paused, rewound,
or fast-forwarded, allowing members to learn at their own
pace. This can be particularly useful for members who need
more time to digest complex information or who want to
review specific topics.
- Continuous learning: educational videos can provide
members with ongoing learning opportunities that are
not limited to a single event. This can help to promote
continuous learning and development, beneficial for both
personal and professional growth.
