Legal advice on independent practice for members
The Association’s UK Competition Law Guidance provides information on how competition law impacts on the Association and its members who are engaged in independent practice within the UK private healthcare market.
It provides information on the role that our Association is able to fulfil on behalf of its members within the constraints of UK competition law. It also provides recommendations around how Association members should conduct themselves in relation to any discussions, conversations or communications between each other in relation to independent practice activities.
While we believe the guidance accurately reflects current law, it is not intended to represent legal advice. Appropriate professional advice should always be obtained by a member in the event of any questions about a particular situation.
This Guidance is intended to apply to members engaged in independent practice and is not applicable in respect of NHS funded work.
