Digital transformation, disruptive innovation and technology award in anaesthesia
The Association of Anaesthetists is committed to shaping the future of anaesthesia by fostering innovation and advancing patient care. Through the generosity of the legacy of the late Dr Mal Morgan, former President, we are excited to announce funding opportunities of up to £75,000 to support pioneering projects that drive technological advancement and innovation in anaesthesia.
The initiative is designed to encourage creative solutions, disruptive technologies, and transformative approaches to patient safety, education, and sustainability in anaesthesia practice. We welcome all kinds of innovation, including artificial intelligence, digital health, new techniques, novel problem-solving approaches, or feasibility studies that align with our strategic priorities:
- Patient care and safety
- Education and research
- Advocacy and support
- Innovation and growth

We aim to support multiple projects across a range of funding levels. Projects should demonstrate a route to future funding, including external grants, public funding or commercial partnerships, ensuring long term impact.
