We're looking for new seminar material, both lecture and workshop based.

About this event

The Safe Anaesthesia Liaison Group Patient Safety Conference will be held virtually this year on Wednesday 12 November 2025.

The day will provide valuable knowledge for doctors engaged in clinical anaesthesia, pain management and intensive care medicine, and who have an interest in improving patient safety.

Abstract submission

Residents are invited to submit abstracts outlining a patient safety projects that they have undertaken. Whether your work focuses on reducing harm, improving care processes, or fostering a culture of safety, we welcome your insights and experiences.

Projects should demonstrate meaningful and measurable outcomes, use data-driven methods, and/or highlight collaborative efforts to drive change in clinical practice.

Projects should relate to one of the themes for this meeting which are

  • Drug errors – reducing the risk and harm
  • Airway management – reducing risk

Submissions will be assessed and the presenting author of the highest-scoring abstracts in the preliminary review will be invited to present their work. Please note that a resident must be the presenting author of the oral presentation or ePoster.
