Tea Trolley Teaching: Prevention and recognition of unrecognised oesophageal intubation

Location: Exhibition hall
Times: Scheduled refreshment breaks (Wednesday and Thursday)

Unrecognised oesophageal intubation is a potentially fatal, yet avoidable, complication of airway management. A recurring theme of all recent UK unrecognised oesophageal intubation cases is that multidisciplinary team members either failed to speak up when they believed safety to be at risk or were ignored

Annual Congress' Tea Trolley Training are succinct 5 minute sessions covering:

  • Strategies to prevent unrecognised oesophageal intubation
  • The CUSS (Concern, Uncomfortable, unSafe, Stop) graded assertiveness tool, encouraging staff to ‘speak up’ and ‘listen down

Join us whilst enjoying your cup of coffee and a “CUSS-Cake!” Click here for further information.

Complimentary networking drinks

Time: 17:30-18:20
Location: Studio 1, Harrogate Convention Centre

  • Informal gathering for complimentary drinks in the exhibition area
  • Free to attend and no need to book, it's included in your conference ticket!
