Join our Association undergraduate assessor panel
If you’re passionate about undergraduate medical education, the Association is looking to expand its panel of assessors for our undergraduate awards due to an increasing number of applications. We offer two exciting opportunities for medical students studying in Great Britain and Ireland:
- Undergraduate elective funding: Awarded twice a year, medical students can receive up to £750 towards their medical student elective period. Preference is given to projects relevant to anaesthesia, intensive care, or pain relief, especially in developing countries.
- Wylie Medal Undergraduate Essay Prize: An annual 1000-word essay competition on a chosen topic by our Heritage, Research, and Innovation Committee.
As an assessor, you'll play a vital role in scoring applications using defined scoring criteria with marking guides to ensure consistency, through our online system.
Time commitment
Undergraduate elective funding is awarded twice a year, and the Wylie Medal essay prize is awarded annually, so reviewers will be allocated a number of applications to review through our online review system, normally around January/February and August/September.
How to apply
Send your expressions of interest to the Governance team via [email protected]. Consultants, SAS doctors, and resident anaesthetists with a keen interest in undergraduate medical education are encouraged to apply!
