About this webinar

We look forward to welcoming you to the recording of our recent webinar: PREVENTT trial of intravenous iron: Exclusive first worldwide presentation of trial results.

The recording is now available, and will be automatically emailed to your preferred email address as soon as you have booked here. Please check your junk mail if you do not see the email in your inbox.

Please ignore reference to date in the booking process, this is a notional date and you will be sent the recording immediately.

In this webinar, the results from the PREVENTT (A randomised, double-blind, controlled trial of preoperative intravenous iron to treat anaemia before major abdominal surgery - funded by the National Institute for Health Research) trial will be presented and discussed by the authors. This trial included nearly 500 participants with anaemia who were randomly allocated to receive 1000mg of iron or saline intravenously 10-42 days before major surgery in 1 of 46 hospitals around the UK.

This is the first presentation worldwide and will be your chance to hear what the outcomes were and what they mean for patients with anaemia undergoing surgery. You will be able to hear the authors of this groundbreaking trial during the webinar.
