About this webinar recording
The forthcoming guidelines on consent for anaesthesia have been developed in response to the evolving ethical and legal landscape in which anaesthetists practise. This webinar will introduce the new guidance and explore how anaesthetists can place the patient’s perspective at the centre of meaningful consent discussions. Through expert presentations and practical specialty-focused sessions covering obstetrics, paediatrics, young adults and patients who lack capacity, attendees will gain a clear understanding of the principles underpinning modern consent practice, as well as practical approaches to discussing risk and sharing information with patients. The webinar will be valuable for consultants, SAS doctors, resident doctors and any anaesthetist involved in obtaining consent, helping participants feel more confident in delivering patient-centred, legally robust and clinically effective consent conversations in everyday practice.
