Editor for Anaesthesia
Anaesthesia, which is one of the highest ranked journals in the field of anaesthesiology and is the official journal of the Association of Anaesthetists, is looking for an Editor to join the current team, in a full or part-time capacity. The closing date for applications is 13 February 2026.
Who can apply?
The successful applicant should be a member of the Association of Anaesthetists. They must be able to work well in a team, be able to keep to strict deadlines, have a history of publication and must have excellent English writing skills. Previous editorial experience is not essential but would be an advantage.
What’s involved?
Editors will typically work between 3–4 hours each week on the Journal and must also be prepared to attend one face-to-face and two virtual Editorial Board meetings a year and contribute to the Association of Anaesthetists’ Winter Scientific Meetings and/or Annual Congresses. As well as the opportunity to work with an excellent and cohesive editorial team, Editors receive an honorarium. Applicants with an interest in pain management, regional, obstetric or paediatric anaesthesia are encouraged to apply.
