My GMC details are not being recognised
- Make sure the security settings on your device are not blocking the GMC validation check on our website. Hospital computers often have additional security which could be preventing these checks on our website.
- Make sure your surname is entered with a capital first letter, e.g. Smith not smith or SMITH as this field is case sensitive.
- Year of qualification is taken from the Primary medical qualification line on GMC registration.
- Only click once on the ‘Verify Details’ button after you have filled in all of the information prompted on the page. The validation may take 5-10 seconds to verify so allow time for these checks to complete.
- If you click multiple times on the ‘Verify Details’ button, the system may not let you proceed to the application form and return an error. Should this happen, contact [email protected].
Is there a discount for parental leave or LTFT?
Members can apply for a discount if their circumstances change due to parental leave, going LTFT or due to long term sickness. You can do this by completing the relevant online form on our website:
How do I find out what I paid in the last tax year?
- Log into our website
- Click on My Profile (top right corner of the page) then go to My Payments > Invoices
- Scroll down the page to Receipts. You can view your invoice online by clicking on the View button, or download a copy by clicking on the Print button
I am struggling to pay by card, can I pay directly into the Association’s bank?

How do I log into the Association website?
- Have you registered an online account on our website? You will need to this before you can log in
- Click on the Login button (on the top right hand side of the screen if you’re using a desktop). Username and password required
- If you have forgotten your password you can request send a password reset or request send a username reminder if needed
- On the website, you can book events, read publications and update your contact details (under My Profile – top right corner)
- If you are struggling to log in, clear your browser cache/history, close your browser, open a new browser window and try again
- If you have three failed log in attempts, the system will automatically lock you out as a security measure. If that happens, contact [email protected] to unlock your account
Why is my login not working on the Association website?
- If you had a login account on our old website (pre May 2019), this will not work on our current website. Contact [email protected] to receive your unique pre-registration link to setup a new username and password. This will then be linked to your previous account and any historical information, e.g. CPD certificates, invoices, etc.

How do I read digital copies of the journal Anaesthesia and Anaesthesia News?
- We will email members each month with a link to the latest issue
- Alternatively, previous editions can be found within your portal on the website
- Log in to the website as above
- Click on My Profile (top right hand corner) and click on My subscriptions – you can then access both the journal and magazine
How do I change the way I receive my publications?
- Log into our website
- Click on My Profile (top right corner of the page) then go to Contact preferences
- Scroll down to Publications section and choose the format you prefer - online/paper.
- If you no longer wish to receive either publications, select ‘None’
How do I log into Community, the online member network and forum?
- You can access Community here (please make sure you are logged into our website)
- The username and password that you use to login to Community are the same as your username and password on the Association's website
How do I update my contact details?
- Log into our website
- Click on My Profile (top right corner of the page).This will take you to your Personal details page where you can update your contact details and your job title
- You can also:
- update your home and/or work address under Addresses
- update your GDPR preferences under Contact preferences
- update your diversity details under Diversity details
- let us know your interests under Interests
- add any special dietary or access requirements you may have under Dietary and access requirements. These details will be added to your booking when catering is provided at one of our physical events

How do I activate my ESAIC membership?
- Log into our website
- Click on My Profile (top right corner of the page) then go to Contact preferences
- Scroll down to ESAIC Associate Membership and tick the box to sign up and activate this membership
- Your membership will either commence in January or June, depending on when you join
How do I purchase a Totum Pro card? (Resident members)
- Log into our website
- Click on My Profile (top right corner of the page) then go to ‘TOTUM Pro (new member benefit)’
- Scroll down your account to click on the ‘sign up’ link. This will take you to the TOTUM website to buy the card
