About this webinar
After the success of recent Pride in Peri-operative Practice webinars, we are very excited to be returning for a further event this year. LGBTQ+ patients suffer significantly worse health care outcomes than cis-heterosexual populations. More than 70% of LGBTQ+ staff feel homophobia and biphobia are a problem in the work place and >84% feel transphobia is an issue within the medical profession.
We are excited to have a line-up of expert speakers joining us to discuss LGBTQ+ healthcare, their own experiences and the importance of continuing to embed EDI into our clinical practice. With the defunding of positive initiatives such as the NHS Rainbow Badge scheme, and ongoing political and media discrimination against the LGBTQ+ community, it is more important that we come together as clinicians to ensure we better understand and support our LGBTQ+ colleagues and patients.
Login will be available from 17:50, but the broadcast will not start until 18:00.
