Interested in organising a seminar?

We're looking for new seminar material, both lecture and workshop based.

About this webinar

Administration of anaesthesia requires precision, focus and a high level of training. Anaesthetists work in multi-layered complex systems that are prone to errors. Medical errors can be defined as the failure of a planned action to be completed as intended, or the use of a wrong plan to achieve an aim. Such errors are mostly due to system failures rather than due to individual failures. Blaming individuals for errors can result in errors being hidden that can seriously harm the system. Despite strong consensus to create a blame free healthcare system, anaesthetists have come under legal scrutiny for errors in the workplace. This webinar explores ways of mitigating the consequences of errors and the legal framework within which anaesthetists can work safely.

If you are not a member of the Association please explore the full benefits of being a member here, but as a summary:

1. Heavily discounted Association of Anaesthetist events (including Trainee Conference)
2. Multiple opportunities to present abstracts and posters which are published in Anaesthesia journal
3. Patient transfer insurance
4. Access to a vast library of online learning resources on our Learn@ platform

Login will be available from 17:45, but the broadcast will not start until 18:00.
