Interested in organising a seminar?

We're looking for new seminar material, both lecture and workshop based.

All about Portland Place: A shared history

The blue plaque on the Association of Anaesthetist’s headquarters at 21 Portland Place honours Sir Arthur Pearson, founder of Blind Veterans UK. In this talk learn about the history and architecture of the building, and hear the remarkable stories of the men blinded in the First World War who once lived there, and how they have inspired today’s blind veterans.

This is a joint talk between Blind Veterans UK and the Anaesthesia Heritage Centre.

This is a recording of a previous event, which will be sent to you after you complete your booking.

Blind Veterans UK

We are here to support anyone who has served in the Armed Forces, or who has done National Service, and who is now living with significant sight loss.

We help blind ex-Service men and women lead independent and fulfilling lives by supporting them with our in-depth expertise, experience and full range of services.

We give veterans much-needed support to adjust to sight loss, overcome the challenges of blindness and enjoy daily life. Our charity has been offering physical and emotional support to vision-impaired veterans since 1915.
